Report:

Last Wednesday, the Fulham Prep Under 11 Football Team, played against Ravenscourt Park. We won 2 – 0. Unusually, we played the game in four quarters.

We started off well in the first quarter and towards the end of this first period we were awarded a corner from which we scored our first goal. Josh crossed it in to Julian who passed it out of the box to Joe. Her shot rebounded to Ollie who then blasted it in through the keeper’s legs from a tight angle.

In the second and third quarters, Ravensourt were trying hard to equalise and were getting past our defence on many occasions but Milo did well in goal to keep a clean sheet. Joe, Ollie, Julian and Matthew kept up the pressure on the opposition and were unlucky on a few occasions not to score.

In the third quarter the ball was booted into Ravenscourt’s area but quickly came out. Matthew went for goal but the ball went over the bar. However, soon after, Matthew had a one-on-one chance with the keeper and managed a low hard shot which deflected off the keeper and straight into the goal.

In the fourth and final quarter, Ravenscourt fought hard and had many chances all of which were saved by strong defence from Josh and Julian who did well to get back from midfield but most of all from some brilliant saves from Milo.
