MrQwerty: Personal Contribution to Pop

Mr Qwerty's Personal Contribution to the World of Pop

I've been playing in bands since I was 14, but my first foray into a professional recording studio was at the fag end (Brit expression!) of the English Mod Revival.

A time when punk evolved into new wave and was gaining an unwanted respectability amongst the cognoscenti. We made our one and only single in late '78, early '79, the eponymous Smart Lads b/w Billy Works In A Record Shop. 20 odd years later, it's the B-side I can still live with.

The Smart Lads, later evolved into The Tins, and then The Anglo Bubblies. More about this, and the records we made, when I can find the time.
