The Bible of Bop - Kimberley Rew

A collection of recordings using the Soft Boys, the Dbs and the Waves as backing bands. The launching pad and mastermind for Katrina and the Waves. Standout tracks "Stomping All Over The World" and "Fishing".

The Blurred Crusade - The Church
This sublime slice of pop is a true masterpiece of jangle, melody and atmospherics. You have never hear guitars ring as they do on " Almost with You". Other standouts are "You Took" and "When You Were Mine".

The Boys - The Boys
Aussie rockers from early eighties that produced an album of anthemic guitar driven pop songs, singable till the cows come home. Highlights: "When You're Lonely", " Same Game" and "Weoh, Weoh, Weoh". All songs from the pen of the underated Paul McCarthy who was not in the band?? Rare as rockinghorse shit - but well worth the effort.

The Real Kids - The Real Kids
John Felice's seminal mid 70's gritty rock and pop debut album. Choc- A - Block full of pop gems.....All Kindsa Girls, My Baby's Book, Do The Boob, Better Be Good....for those that like it raw but catchy.

Here We Come - The Innocents
Another long lost Aussie gem....these guys were Australia's answer to The Records. These guys had it all great songcrafting, awesome 5 part harmonies , teen adulation....just like their English counterparts they were ignored my the greater masses and commercial (and alternative) radio. Their semi- hit single "Sooner or Later" is a must in any serious power pop collection. This is one I will try to share with the group.

Joy Rides For Shut-Ins - The Cavedogs
Must confess not knowing much about this group. But Ive been spinning this disc since hearing a track late one night on local radio. "Bed of Nails" is the hit pick of this album. They remind me of a quirkier version of The Smithereens.
