Comments: My choices are in no particular order:

Dig It The Most- DM3
This CD almost sounds like you are back in the late 60's. Not only are the songs melodies reminiscent of another
time but they immediately sound familiar. The lead singer Dom Mariani was previously in the bands the Stems and then the Someloves. I would describe this much as hard punching power pop but very melodic. My favorite tracks are Pleaze You, 1 times 2 times Devastated, and Show You.

Blown To - Smithereens
A band that has definitely not gotten enough recognition, the Smithereens make music that makes one glad to be alive! My favorites include Blood and Roses, Strangers When We Meet, Blues Before and After.

Drums Along The Hudson - Bongos
If it weren't for WNYU's radio station in the early 80's I never would have heard this band's great music. The Bongos pay tribute to T. Rex with their version of Mambo Sun and their love for catchy melodic songs is very well
represented in their music. My favorites include Zebra Club, The Bulrushes and Mambo Sun because I am a big fan of T. Rex's music.

The Romantics - The Romantics
The Romantics made music that sounded like an updated American version of the early Kinks circa 1965. Their music has a real frenetic catchy beat. Recommended songs
include When I Look In Your Eyes, First In Line, What I Like About You, Gimme One More Chance.

Wondermints - Wondermints
The Wondermints make the most ethereal sounding pop music.
Indescribable would be a succinct way of summing up their music. Proto-pretty is the big favorite but every track is great.

Mars Needs Guitars - Hoodoo Gurus
The Hoodoo Gurus are a band that made their mark in their native land of Australia but I don't believe they received enough airplay outside of their country. If you like
witty lyrics, jangly guitars and extremely catchy melodies this is a great CD to check out.
