Todd Rundgren's Runt is awesome stuff and represents the best of the early Power Pop movement. Catchy hooks, lyrics about relationships and fantastic production quality. Music that is as good now as it was 30 years ago.

All I can really say about the Hollies is influence. They were a band not only that was popular and good, but had a tremendous impact on Power Pop and 70's rock. They cross all rock genre's with strong craftsmanship.

Pete Townsend's albums are always strong but this was one of his best. Great rock with a lot of pop and folk influence.

The Belle & Sebastian selection is on the slacker side of pop, but is wicked good music. The choice of instruments along with the melodies are unique but recognizable. Altogether worth listening to while sitting with a beer contemplating life's difficulties!

What can I say about the Kinks that hasn't already been covered. They are very derivitive at times but like all post Beatles Power Pop bands this is a compliment not an insult. And on this record they really look to the past and the future for inspiration ("Come Dancing").

The Ocean Blue is the late 80's mellow alt-pop at it's best. A record that reminds me of the fall.....
