PROGRAMME FOR 2012

Don't forget that ALL THURSDAYS not shown below are still terrific fun - we always have wonderful local musicians playing a variety of styles, songs and music

19 Jan Alternative Burns Evening with The Crow Road Band
The week before the actual Burns evening, with Jan, Phil, Alan and Tony. There will be Scottish songs but not exclusively from the pen of Burns. We expect the usual haggis and accompaniments and an address to the haggis from Tony (a highlight of the evening!) and Scottish quiz. Always a fun event and popular with Windmill audiences.

16 Feb Mike the Uke and friends
Mike Hayllor, affectionately known as Mike the Uke, has been entertaining audiences at the Windmill (and further afield) on his ukelele for some years now. He sings mainly his own material, well crafted songs to really make you think or smile wryly. He is planning to pull in a few other musicians on this occasion and make this an evening to really look forward to.

15 Mar St Patrick's night with Kellys Aye
Once again it is time to celebrate St Patrick's day. Felix and Kathy, with the help of some friends, will provide the entertainment - Irish songs and tunes, including chances for audience participation (words provided!). So, oil your vocal chords and come prepared to join us in an evening of good music and fun.

26 Apr No Small Thing - Steve Messenger and Liss Lynch
Steve, guitar wizard and Liss, fiddle expert, have been playing together for some years now, both as a duo and in a couple of bands. They perform a wide range of material, from self penned to anything that takes their fancy, and have recently been adding new instruments to their fields of expertise. Bound to be a great evening!
10 May NEW VENUE: THE OLD COURTHOUSE, COVE
Due to changing circumstances at The Windmill pub we have decided to move our venue to the THE OLD COURTHOUSE, COVE nr Farnborough in Hampshire

17May Jim McLean
Jim has always been a firm favourite at the Windmill. An excellent guitarist and singer, whose material varies from traditional to modern and includes self penned songs, his performances never fail to impress and delight audiences. We suggest you arrive early to make sure you get a seat!
 7 Jun Bram Taylor
We welcome back Bram, a regular guest and talented singer/guitarist/raconteur with a wide range of material from traditional through to contemporary.
12 Jul Sue Graves and Steve Poole
Two thirds of popular local trio Soiree, whose repertoire draws widely from a variety of contemporary folk songs as well as some originals, the odd well-chosen jazz crooner, the occasional tear-jerker and even a bit of cheeky rock 'n' roll! Tonight you can expect well-known favourites from the Soiree repertoire, a few new ones & some nice joining in bits.

August We're closed for the month.

 13 Sep Tudor Lodge
