PROGRAMME FOR 2001

Don't forget that ALL THURSDAYS not shown below are still terrific fun - we always have wonderful local musicians playing a variety of styles, songs and music

25th Jan BURNS NIGHT Another not-so-traditional Slightly Singed "Alternative Burns Night" Production with the McLean/Moncrieff/McCready Fusion Band, Tony McWootton and Kelly's Aye's Celtic MCs. Loads of chorus songs and haggis, neeps and tatties!! Come along and enjoy!
8th Feb VALENTINE THEME About time we had a theme night ... how about love songs in preparation for wooing your partners on Valentine's Day next week?? Now that shouldn't be too difficult ... (don't forget to buy a card!)
15th Feb KEITH HARDY -a wonderful night will be had featuring our club's original Organiser with his blend of traditional and more contemporary songs (great to join in with!)Marvellous to see him back again from Windsor.
15th Mar In honour of ST PATRICK's day, "Songs and tunes from the Emerald Isle" presented by Kelly's Aye-with perhaps a few surprises!
12th Apr Sherryl's Birthday Night -bound to be disorganised if she's anything to do with it, but fun nevertheless!
26th Apr NODDY'S LOT - after a very successful evening last year at our sister-club, Fleet, we have managed to book Noddy's Lot for our delectation. Surely an evening not to be missed.
17th May KEN PERLMAN - a welcome return from Ken, our American claw-hammer style banjo player friend. Ken also plays guitar and will amaze you with his dexterity.
12th Jul Summer BBQ No not a new Boy Band but our traditional evening round the campfire! Sherryl will need to know numbers for food by 5th July.
19th Jul TERRY ST CLAIR Terry is well known on the London acoustic music scene and we are pleased when he occasionally comes out into the shires with his repertoire of self-penned songs and timeless classics accompanied on guitar. A powerful singer and great entertainer.

Aug We're Here with Singers Nights during the Summer!

6th Sep CHARITY NIGHT WITH TUDOR LODGE AND FRIENDS Popular local duo Tudor Lodge perform some of the songs from their recent CDs with the help (or is it hindrance?) of guest 'Lodgees' such as Gary and Sherryl, Terry St Clair and anyone else they can bribe ... er, persuade ... to join them! Should be a fun evening for all. Proceeds from tonight will be donated to cancer relief.
27th Sep DAVE HUNTER & CLAIRE COXWELL Dave has gained a reputation for singing contemporaray songs with thought-provoking lyrics. Claire is a shy accordionist (yes - it is possible!) who discovered folk music through dancing and plays in a number of local barn dance bands. Together Dave and Claire perform an eclectic mix of songs and tunes to move both your mind and your feet.
18th Oct JAY PARRACK Local girl Jay is the complete entertainer - superb voice and instrumentalist and her trademark outfits can bowl you over! Whether performing solo or accompanied by other talented musicians, an evening with Jay is one not to be missed.
8th Nov UNCLE DONNIE'S WAKE with the fabulous CROW ROAD BAND After their magnificent performance at the Edinburgh festival in August, we're delighted to introduce our very own Crow Road Band doing what they do best!
29th Nov JIM McLEAN A welcome return for one of our Scottish heroes, here to help us celebrate St Andrew. Sure to be a popular night.
20th Dec CHRISTMAS PARTY Contributions of snacks welcome!
27th Dec The only night we're CLOSED all year!! Open again on 4th January 2002.
