Hook Scout HQ - RG27 9LB Outline:
This is a techniques course
in air rifle shooting in the standing position and in deliberate air
pistol shooting. It is especially recommended to current NSRA YPS
Tutors in Air Rifle who wish to instruct in air pistol or to develop
their skills as air rifle instructors. The course fee includes an NSRA course handbook and certification (valid for 5 years). Essential
Precursors:
To register for this course
you must hold one of the following qualifications: NSRA YPS
Tutor’s Diploma, NSRA RCO, NRA RCO and you must either be a Life or Annual member of the NSRA or hold a current adult appointment in The Scout Association. |
|
Adults working with other recognised youth organisations may also be accepted; a CRB Disclosure letter must be produced with application. |
| Renewal The NSRA Licence that accompanies the YPS Tutor's Diploma is valid for five years. It may be renewed if you have been regularly using the qualification so keeping a record or logbook is very important. The minimum level of use is 25 separate occasions over the 5-year period with at least 5 in the 12 months prior to renewal. Applications for renewal must be made to the NSRA before your Licence expires. Write, quoting your Licence number and enclosing your logbook and a cheque for £10.00, payable to "NSRA", to: NSRA, Lord Roberts Centre, Bisley Camp, Brookwood, WOKING Surrey, GU24 0NP. If you want your logbook back, ask for it; otherwise it may be retained. (Do remember to update your postal address, 'phone number and email address if any have changed). Renewal of NSRA RCO, Club Instructor and Coach licences also requires evidence of continuing satisfactory performance of the relevant role. This is normally provided by a letter from the secretary of your NSRA-affiliated shooting club. Again, it is important to apply before your existing licence expires. |
