This year heralds the return of Music in the Air, renamed “Music in the Air – Wallop08”, which promises to be better than ever. There is much more on offer for all visitors, from the families wanting an exciting day out to the keen aviation enthusiast.
The day starts with entertainment by Enactment Groups and activities for children, and an old fashioned funfair. Something not to be missed is The Real Dad’s Army who 40 years on will still invoke havoc and mayhem on their drill!
The most iconic part of the show is the afternoon flying display, complimented by the Band of the Army Air Corps. The display features a line up of stunning historic aircraft headlined by the spectacular Red Arrows.
There will be pleasure flights and hot air balloon trips for those who want to be a part of the action. On the ground there will be aircraft on show giving you the opportunity to really get up close.
“Actually, there is still more!” says Marketing Manager Ali Brierly, “visitors are getting so much more for their money than ever before, I’m delighted that we have an international star this year, the accomplished tenor, Will Martin, who will be singing to the crowd, you should hear his voice!”
Music in the Air has retained all the original splendour it has just got bigger and better!
