As an extension to the Principles of flight lessons the CO purchased a Compressed Air powered aeroplane. It's basically a posh 'pop bottle' and bike pump combo that powers a small compressed air motor. 30 pumps gives about 10 seconds of power.
	It is a fairly robust aeroplane that allows the cadets to get their first taste of powered model flying. Which is a good thing, as it demonstrated it's robustness on it's first flight when two of the junior NCO's realised that they hadn't properlly glued the tail in place. They remembered this when the plane was mid-air just before the tail fell out!!
