To be Worn
1.) As a top layer you MUST have: DPM Jacket & DPM Trousers
Under this you can wear what you want.
Remember to dress in lots of thin layers instead of a few think ones, just like hiking, so that you can adjust your body temperature.
e.g.
  • On Top - T-shirt, Norwegian army shirt, DPM Jacket
  • Legs - Thin tracksuit bottoms (if really cold), DPM trousers
As you get hotter you take layers off under your DPMs so that you remain camouflaged and with a durable layer on top.

2.) Strong Boots / Combat boots. Worn with 2 pairs of socks, as per hiking kit instructions.
3.) DPM (or) woolly hat -- NO BERETS / NO Balaclavas / NO Ski Masks (Unless covered in Ghille)
    4.) Scrim Scarf (or) Shemarh
5.) Webbing (58 pattern, PLCE, Arktis etc.)
NOTE: Chest rigs are not really suitable for cadet MFT exercises as you will spend a lot of time crawling around on your front!
