The reason most people give for joining the Air Cadets: The Flying. The Corps currently takes cadets flying in the Grob Tutor Aircraft. This is a two seater, dual control propellor driven small aircraft and the pilot and cadet get to sit side by side. |
As you can see, you will be kited out by trained fitters in all the latest flying equipment ready for your flight, including: Flying Suit Flying Gloves Helmet-{with intercom} Parachute As being wonderfully modelled here by Cadet Deacon |
| Then comes the wait before your flight is called. You can normally sport the first timers by their nervous expressions! |
| You then get taken out and strapped into the Aircraft. Before taking part in a flight that usually lasts at least half an hour. During which time you may have the chance to take control {fully supervised, dual control} and maybe even experience aerobatics. |
