After a few years of absence while the new CO found his feet running the Sqn, 2004 saw
the return of an Air Cadet Stand at Chepstow Carnival. As modelled here by WO Starr. Despite the best efforts of the rain and the fact that the Filton airshow was on the same day, the day went well. As the CO had managed to scrounge tickets to the airshow for the cadets, the stall on the day was manned by: The CO would like to thank all the cadets who got everything ready for them before hand. |

Officially defined as: the Sunday nearest to November 11 when those who died in World War I and World War II are commemorated . Although nowadays this day remembers all those members of the local community who have fallen in battle over the last 100 years. As well as ourselves and the other local military organisations, representatives of all the local organisations take part to mark their respects. |

The parade is formed up at the Dell car park and marches down through town to the Cenotaph, where wreaths are layed a 2 minute scilence is observed. The parade then proceedes to St Marys church for a service and a reading of the roll of honour which names all those soldiers from the Chepstow who have fallen in conflict. The parade then marches back up through town and back to the British Legion for a buffet lunch provided by the members of the Chepstow Branch of the Royal British Legion. |

This date represents a crucial turning point in WWII, the Wings Appeal provides an opportunity for us to give thanks for the victory which has enabled us to enjoy our freedom ever since.
