Little research has been carried out on this family yet and even the Commonwealth
War graves site gives little information. He was B/203386, 1stBn., Rifle Brigade
(The Prince Consort's Own). His regiment when he signed up in Mansfield was
the King's Royal Rifle Corps. Albert is commemorated on the
Thiepval
Memorial in the Somme.
Beatrice Gilbourne remarried 30 June 1921 to Alfred Slater.
