Rosemary May
Pembroke People, by Richard Rose.Otterquill Books, London, 1/2001.(ISBN 0-9535542-0-1) .A detailed account of every person who lived and worked in Pembroke and Pembroke Dock between 1800 and 1830.
A great deal is by occupation from Accountants to Wine and Spirit Merchants...Part I. gives detailed accounts of the persons and their families. There's a huge section on the Dockyard 1820 List with occupations such as messenger, joiner, etc. For instance, Gentry is an occupation as is Farmer. Part II is Anonymous to Young...these are the names of persons whose trades or occupations are not known or whose names are so common as to make a positive attribution unsafe...maiden names of women...names of children whose parents can't be identified...witnesses to weddings and misc. other persons. Both parts are in alphabetical order. The four appendix also have some wonderful statistical information.

I am happy to do lookups from the book but I can't go looking for a Davies, for example, in all the occupations...people will have to be much more specific in the lookup request.

IGI and Familysearch  Here is the searchable LDS website

IGI Batch Numbers-British Isles
Manually typing the batch numbers into the IGI search screen can be tedious. Hugh Wallis  has made an exhaustive search of the likely ranges of batch numbers and created a database of those numbers and the source records that they apply to. A very powerful feature included is a hotlink from each batch number to the actual search engine provided at the Family Search site, including the ability to enter the surname you are looking for. This makes it very easy to search all the batches for a particular geographic location using just the last name you are searching for - something that is not possible directly from the LDS site without doing a lot of typing.
Hugh Wallis's site is on  http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~hughwallis/IGIBatchNumbers.htm#Page
