Match Report based on Captain Giles Stanton's e-mail to team members
What looked like a certain win for Nottinghamshire turned out to be very close. There were some hard fought drawn games and a late trio of wins for Worcestershire brought the match score to a tied 8-8. After double checking Rule16: "in case of a tie the team with the least number of boards defaulting will be declared the winner" we had to concede. Giles really appreciated help from players in setting up and clearing away. If we had a "Man of the Match" award it would have to go to Don Curry for his stunning performance at the kitchen sink as well as his victory over the board!
