This was a tense match, especially when
Giles lost his game to make the
score 6-5 in Staffs favour. But thanks to some solid performances form top
boards: Roy Peters, Andrew Farthing and Andrew Wiggins and further
winning games from John Varilone, Doug Bott, Arnold and Michele Clack,
the day was saved with a 7.5 to 8.5 win for Worcestershire. The team thanks
those who stood in at late notice.
