    The History
      1976- Pathfinders first on Lake Windermere.
       
    • The cruise became a National Event
    • Every year from 1976 to 1995 Pathfinders sailed on England's Largest Lake a mid the Wonderful Scenery of the Lake District National Park.
    • 1995- The Twentieth Year of POW- celebrations held in May in the village of Bredon to mark POW 20 and Pathfinder's 60th Year. 
    • 1996 - The Norfolk Broads
    • The Southern Norfolk Broads Rivers Yare and Waveney are the New Sailing Area for POW.
    • 1997 - The Rivers Thurne, Bure and Ant are our Sailing area.
    • 1998 - Again we sailed on the Rivers Bure Thurne and Ant. (a year of very high water levels.)
    • 1999 - A year of fine weather, on the Rivers Bure,Thurne, and Ant.
    • 2000 - Typhoon and Tempest were added to our fleet. A year in which we found new moorings at Barton and at West Somerton. Click here for pow2000 pictures

    • 2002 - A brilliant year for sailing long distances. Initially a period of mostly easterly winds, with, just when we needed it, a day or two of westerlys to take us home again without too much use of the engines.
    • 2003  -A Cold start with not very helpful gusty winds. Later much warmer, even hot & sunny. Brilliant new Game after breakfast and Quite Time on the Beach.

    • In 2004 the only rain was one night. Lots of sunshine, and not a lot of wind meant a shortened route. See here for a report.
