Edinburgh     St. Thomas’s Episcopal Church    -    Rector

The Trustees, Vestry and congregation of St. Thomas’s Episcopal Church are seeking a new Rector to move forward with them to their next phase of life, worship and ministry in Edinburgh.

St. Thomas’s Church is located on the west side of Edinburgh.

It is an evangelical congregation, with an average morning attendance of 200 people.

Members in paid employment work mostly in the professions and come from a variety of church backgrounds.

The vacancy has arisen due to the appointment of Revd. Canon Mike Parker to be the General secretary for the Evangelical Alliance (Scotland)

The City of Edinburgh

Edinburgh, with a population of some 500,000 is one of the most attractive cities in the United Kingdome.  It is a major banking and commercial center, offering a high standard of life for its inhabitants.   However, as in all major cities, there are also areas of considerable deprivation.   Many churches in Edinburgh are alive to opportunities within both these cultures.

St. Thomas’s Church

The Scottish Episcopal Church is not the established church in Scotland, so St. Thomas’s does not have a parish as such to serve.   It can best be described as a gathered congregation, comprising local residents and those who travel some distance.

Our Values

We state our purpose as “To know God and to make Him known”.   Our priority is to teach the Bible clearly and practically.  We are an unashamedly evangelical congregation, understanding and applying Scripture so that we may engage with contemporary culture.    From our Anglican roots we seek to play a full part in the Scottish Episcopal Church and the wider Anglican Communion.   We also see St. Thomas’s as a “hub” for mission within the local area and beyond, and want to equip our church family for mission through their networks.

Staff

The Rector leads a team of paid staff which presently includes:  a full-time Curate (in the final year of his appointment); a full-time Youth Worker;  a part-time Curate (whom we expect to take over from the full-time Curate in due course);  a part-time Chaplain to local Nursing Homes: a Church Administrator:  an organist;  two cleaners and a caretaker, each working a few hours per week.   We occasionally have ordinands from Scotland and elsewhere on placements.

Looking to the future

In our new Rector we seek a person who accepts the Biblical faith in God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, as expressed in the Nicene and Apostles’ Creeds and the  authority of Scripture as the inspired Word of God, and who will give assent to the 39 Articles of Religion as set out in the Book of Common Prayer.  We believe that preaching, teaching, pastoral care and enabling in mission will be key activities for this person, together with leading the staff team.   We are willing to wait for God to lead us to the person of His choice, though we would hope to have our new Rector join us later in 2003.

Further information can be obtained from the Church’s website or by writing to:  Mr. Sandy Benzies, 90, Craigmount Brae, Edinburgh, EH12 8XN or at St. Thomas’s Church, 75-79, Glasgow Road, Corstorphine, Edinburgh, EH12 8LJ   Tel:  0131 316 4292   Email: Office@SaintThomas.org.uk    Full church profile available from:  www.saintthomas.org.uk/special/search.htm

Norwich      Cliff Park Community Church, Gorleston, Great Yarmouth  -  a Local Ecumenical Partnership related to St Andrew's C/E Church Gorleston and Gorleston Baptist Church

Seek to appoint an Anglican priest or Baptist minister as Minister in Charge.

The Community Church, which meets in the local school,  is a church plant now three years old,  which is growing in numbers and vitality.  Sunday worship attracts a significant all-age congregation, with a Kidz Church;    the style of worship is friendly and informal. There are lay leaders.  There are midweek house groups and a monthly prayer meeting.   The church attempts to hold the essential traditions of the two denomination within the framework of the church plant  (thus the monthly communion alternates between Anglican and Baptist style.

The Anglican church at present owns the house used by the previous minister, though this is not entirely satisfactory,  and it is possible that alternative accommodation will need to be sought, depending on the needs of the person appointed.

The mission statement:  'to live and give the Good News';  "We need to continue to seek ways of putting into reality the idea of being a church for the community of Cliff Park to whom we show Jesus."

The church leadership have prepared the following Job Specification and Person Profile:

Minister at Cliff Park Community Church - Job Description

We anticipate that the person appointed will exercise general oversight of the Church, but with special attention being given to the following:

[1]        Continuing to lead the congregation in Mission and Evangelism.

[2]        Providing pastoral care for the members of this recently established Church, many of whom are new to Church life.

[3]        Ministering to the whole Community, not just to the gathered congregation.

·        This will have a wide remit, but at its very heart will be a continuation of the excellent relationship that CPCC currently enjoys with Cliff Park Middle School.

·        Further, since CPCC is geographically contained within the Parish of St. Andrew’ this will mean sharing the pastoral opportunities that are a key element in Anglican ministry such as funerals.

[4]        Facilitating the congregation in their ministry to the Community.

[5]        Developing ways in which the church members can deepen their worship and walk with the Lord while, at the same time, holding to the aims of being inclusive, outward looking and user friendly.

[6]        Being committed to sustaining and developing the existing links with both parent Churches, and Churches Together in Gorleston and District.

[7]        Preaching and possibly leading worship at St. Andrew’ on an agreed basis.

[The practicalities of Remuneration, Housing, National Insurance, and Pension will be handled by Norwich Diocesan Board of Finance, irrespective of the denomination of the person appointed.    Remuneration will be at the level of an Incumbent’ Stipend, currently around £17400

Minister at Cliff Park Community Church - Person Profile

What we’re looking for…

Anyone considering the position of minister at Cliff Park Community Church will need to have some or all of the following:

A significant personal prayer life, both to empower their own life and ministry, and to be a model of prayerfulness to the congregation

A clear Evangelical understanding of the Gospel and Scripture and its application today.

An open-ness to the person and renewing work of the Holy Spirit.

Some significant experience of Christian leadership

A total sympathy with the style and approach of CPCC

A willingness to work with and maintain both church traditions

Possibly - but not necessarily essentially - experience of a church plant or similar pioneering work.

Eagerness to engage with the modern world and to relate it back to the church - and relate the church to the world

Commitment to collaborative leadership

A vision for ways of engaging more with the community which CPCC serves in order that we can attempt to fulfil our mission statement “ live and give the Good News”

This post is subject to enhanced CRB disclosure.

Further details and application form from Bishop of Thetford's secretary, Rectory Meadow, Bramerton, Norwich NR14 7DE   01508 538251.      It is hoped that an interview will be held during March.

Peterborough     St. Peter, Brackley    -    Vicar

The parish

Brackley is an attractive market town in the South West corner of Northamptonshire with a population of nearly 14,000.     In medieval times the town’s prosperity was built on the wool trade:  today excellent road links have encouraged light industry and considerable housing development for commuters and retired people.    Social problems and unemployment are not significant.

There are five Local Authority schools and two independent schools.   The Vicar is chaplain to the local cottage hospital.

Worship

St. Peter’s is the only Anglican church in the town, although there is a college chapel (maintained by the LEA) and a small Mission Hall in the hamlet of Halse.

Holy Eucharist (CW Order 1) is the principal Sunday service with an average attendance of 135 with about 95 communicants.    Total Christmas attendance: 1,728.    There is a substantial choir which leads the singing of modern settings.   Robed servers assist;  vestments are worn;  incense is not used.  BCP Evensong.  Healing services are organised monthly.

The church building

St. Peter’s is a generous building with older sections dating from about 1100 with a tower and a magnificent Norman arch.   It has been well maintained and an excellent extension, on the South side, was completed in 1998.   This provides a good sized and flexible hall with kitchen and all facilities.   It is well used for Sunday School, Alphas, Emmaus, music courses, celebrations and also for Deanery functions.   The clergy and choir vestries have now been refurbished with a parish office on the new mezzanine floor.   The large churchyard is not closed but  is only used now for the burial of ashes.

The future

St. Peter’s aims to be a “seven-day-a-week dynamic Church of committed Christians that is relevant to all age groups and gives a clear witness of the Christian faith to the people of Brackley”.  In 1999 the PCC carried out a Mission Audit which identified 13 objectives: these are detailed in the parish profile.   Church planting is under serious consideration at present.

The house

The vicarage is a detached property, adjacent to the churchyard, built in the 1980’s.   it has four bedrooms and a good sized garden.

The need

This parish is looking for a person

Peterborough     St. Mark, Wellingborough    -    Incumbent

This parish lies on the outskirts of Wellingborough in the middle of an area initially built as a council estate funded as London overspill in the 1960’s.   The population of about 7,600 includes a social mix with manual workers predominating and some 25% unemployed.   There are several schools.

Worship

St. Mark’s is broadly within the liberal Catholic tradition:  the Blessed Sacrament is reserved;  vestments are worn;  servers assist and incense is used occasionally on major festivals.   Average Sunday congregations are about 65 with 59 communicants.   Regular Bible Study groups have been a significant and important element in worship together with Emmaus Courses and less formal weekday worship.   Laity participate generously in the liturgy.   There is a lively talented music group which plays once a month for the main service.   Generally this worshipping community is very open to new ideas and initiatives.  About 80% of worshippers live within the parish.

The Church Building

The church is of no great architectural significance.   The church hall is an integral part of the building and may be used as a separate hall or as an extended part of the nave.   St. Mark’s has a clean, no-nonsense feel to the building;  it is warm, friendly and well suited to its purpose.    Generally the building is in good  repair and does not have the major liabilities of listed churches.   There is no churchyard.   Plans are afoot to build new disabled toilets.

Outreach

A new baptismal policy encourages parents and children to continue worshipping.   Special attention is given to newcomers through the “Greeters” scheme.   A Youth groups has been started.

The Future

There are no plans for pastoral re-organisation at this time although the parish boundaries may need adjustment to allow for recent development in Wellingborough as a whole.

The parish profile concentrates on the need for more outreach, the development of children and youth work and the desire for closer links with the other (Anglican) churches in the town.  The PCC writes:  “Although we see ourselves as a typical Church of England parish, we pride ourselves on our flexibility and friendliness.   We like to think that we are open to change in a caring and loving way”.

The House

The Vicarage is beside the church.   It is a well-maintained, four bedroomed detached property.   A new kitchen has just been fitted.

The Need

The parish Statement of Needs asks for:

·        good pastoral skills

·        enthusiastic modern approach

·        good leadership skills to encourage lay ministry and training.

·        Family orientated

·        Inspirational vision for future growth

·        Good knowledge of Scripture to support and encourage deeper bible study

·        The ability to be at ease with people for differing social backgrounds including poverty, social deprivation etc.

·        The ability to communicate effectively with all groups in the parish.

Blackburn     St. Cuthbert’s, Darwen & St. Stephen’s, Tockholes   -    Priest-in-Charge

Darwen is a small town which together with Blackburn forms the Unitary Authority of Blackburn with Darwen.    The population of St. Cuthbert’s parish is around 12,000 and increasing.    There is some ethnic mix.   The majority of the housing is terraced, either owner-occupied or council rented, though a quarter of the housing is detached.   The parish covers the northern part of Darwen as well as the scattered rural community of Tockholes.

At the present time the whole of Blackburn with Darwen Deanery is undergoing a Review with the aim of Pastoral Reorganisation.   Thus all livings are being suspended at this point in time.    However, it is intended to reinstate incumbencies post such action.   Under the present proposals St. Cuthbert’s will be little changed.

St. Cuthbert’s Church was built in 1878 by the distinguished architects Austin and Paley and is in a good state of repair.   The present building at Tockholes was  built in the 1960’s and is in fair condition.   A new Parsonage House is presently being built.

The Sunday worship at both Churches makes use of the Eucharistic rites of Common Worship Order One.   Worship at Tockholes is twice monthly.   Evensong at St. Cuthbert’s is BCP twice monthly.    There are four midweek Eucharists, one of which is from the BCP.   There is a good range of age and gender.   The Churchmanship is Catholic Central.   There are flourishing lay led youth and other organizations, including a large Adult and Junior Choir, Junior Church, uniformed organizations, Mothers’ Union and Amateur Dramatic Society.    Clergy led Study groups meet in Lent and Advent.   St. Cuthbert’s is a training parish and there is a stipendiary curate at present.   The parish practices Christian Stewardship.   There is a regular Parish Magazine.   The Electoral Roll is 250, with over 250 Easter and Christmas communicants.   The PCC has passed Resolutions A & B.

St. Cuthbert’s C of E Aided Primary, and Tockholes C of E Aided Primary have good links with their Churches.   The Priest-in-Charge is expected to take a full involvement in the life of the School and previous incumbents have been Chair of Governors.

The congregation would like to develop Christian education within the parish in order to deepen their faith and spirituality.   Their hope is that this may lead to further development of lay ministry within the parish.   They also have aspirations for the development of the fabric of the parish and the expansion of the work of the PCC in addressing these aims.   They seek a Priest-in-Charge who is rooted in the Catholic tradition and would commit himself to encouraging them to fulfil these aims.   He would be supportive of the Choral tradition of St. Cuthbert’s and sympathetic to the place of the Book of Common Prayer within their whole worship pattern.   He would also commit himself to the life of the Parish Schools.

A recent report has recommended that St. Stephen’s Tockholes be closed and the PCC have discussed-using the well-equipped School Hall as a basis of worship and evangelisation.   The people of St. Stephen’s seek an incumbent who will be sympathetic to their needs as the Church moves towards this closure.

Applicants should write to:   The Bishop of Blackburn, Bishop’s House, Ribchester Road, Blackburn  BB1 9EF with full curriculum vitae and the name and address of three referees.  The Bishop will seek a reference from the Bishop in whose diocese the applicant is currently serving.

Blackburn     St. Aidan’s, Mill Hill   -    Priest-in-Charge

The inner urban community of Mill Hill lies in the South West of the town of Blackburn.   It is within the Local Authority region of Blackburn with Darwen and also the Ecclesiastical Deanery of Blackburn with Darwen.   The population of St. Aidan’s Parish is around 3,000.   there is some ethnic mix.   The majority of the housing is terraced and owner-occupied.

At the present time the whole of Blackburn with Darwen Deanery is undergoing a Review with the aim of Pastoral Reorganisation.   Thus all vacancies are being suspended at this point in time but there is every intention of reinstating incumbencies after such action.    There is an intention for St. Aidan’s to be united with St. Francis Feniscliffe when this parish becomes vacant in the near future through retirement.   St. Francis’ has passed Resolutions A & B.  Both congregations are supportive of this Pastoral Reorganisation.

St. Aidan’s was built around 70 years ago and is in a good state of repair.  Recently the porch has been converted into a kitchen and the recommendations of the last Quinquennial Report are substantially complete.   There is a part-time verger.   The Churchyard is in very good condition and is used only for the internment of ashes.   The Parsonage House was built at the same time as the Church and is also in good repair, a new kitchen having been recently fitted.

The Sunday worship makes use of the Eucharistic rites of Common Worship Order One (using a booklet produced by the ACS).   There is one mid-week Eucharist.   There is a good range of age and gender.   The Churchmanship is Liberal Catholic.   There are lay-led youth and other organizations in the parish including a Junior Church, GFS, prayer Group & Mothers’ Union.   There is one licensed Reader.   The parish practices Christian Stewardship.   There is a regular Parish Magazine.   The Electoral Roll is 100, with around 120 Christmas Communicants and 150 Easter Communicants.

St. Aidan’s C of E Aided Primary has good links with its Church.   The Priest-in-Charge is expected to take a full involvement in the life of the School and the previous incumbent has been Chair of Governors.

The PCC at St. Aidan’s would like to develop their work with children and young people particularly though outreach into the local community.   Amongst their priorities they name:  strengthening the Church/School relationship;  developing lay involvement in the life of the Church; continuing the spiritual development of the congregation; and the completion of the present project to restore the Church Narthex.   They seek a Priest-in-Charge who is approachable, empathetic, who will both listen to, and motivate, the Christian community.    They hope that the Priest-in-Charge will value music in a diversity of traditions as part of the liturgy and communicate the gospel to a wide range of ages and backgrounds, in particular the majority of those in the community whose background is essentially “working class”.

Chelmsford         North Woolwich with Silvertown, St John    -   Priest in Charge

This parish is bounded by the River Thames and London City Airport.  The area is expanding and facilities and transport are improving.  There is a marked contrast between the older housing and the new private developments.  The church was built in 1968 and the four-bedroom vicarage is of the same date.  The church is in an L.E.P. with the Catholic Church of St Mary and St Edward.  Worship at St John’s is traditionally based, although flexibility is welcomed.  The main service is Parish Communion (common worship).  Church members are looking for someone to work in partnership with them, to face the challenges of building the congregation and reaching out to this ethnically and culturally varied community.  While there are difficulties, there are also many opportunities for St John’s to serve the area in which it is placed.

As the London City Airport and Tate & Lyle's are within the parish, it is expected that at least one day a week be given to the work of Industrial Chaplaincy and there may be other opportunities for chaplaincy which would make this a two days a week task.

Peterborough      Saint James, Northampton   -    Priest-in-Charge

The parish lies just outside the main center of Northampton and is very much a community in its own right with schools, shops, banks, factories and Rugby ground.    St. James gives it name both to the area, “Jimmy’s End” and to the Northampton R.U.F.C., “The Saints” (started by a former curate).   Both church and vicarage are centrally placed to minister to this lively urban parish with its socially diverse population of about 7,500 which includes a significant Asian element.   Three has been a long and effective tradition of active involvement in the local community especially in areas of deprivation.

Worship

The parish profile describes the churchmanship as “middle of the road” although the worship is Eucharistic;  vestments are worn;  the Sacrament is reserved and robed servers assist at the main services.   The Sung Eucharist has a congregation of about 60 adults and few children.   A less-frequent non-Eucharistic Family Service attracts similar numbers of adults but more children.

The church building

Completed in 1871 this red-brick church has a friendly, warm and well-used feel about it.   St. James is a good local landmark on the busy main road.   The West end has been converted into a meeting hall.   Major work has recently been completed on the ceiling, re-wiring, lighting and heating.  There is no graveyard.

The Future

Presentation has been suspended for consideration of possible grouping with the neighbouring parishes.   Discussion are at a very early stage and the new Priest-in-Charge would be expected to contribute to the debate.   There are currently two Readers and good lay involvement in worship, pastoral work and youth organizations.  The PCC “wishes to adapt to the changing times without sacrificing the traditions of the church”.

The House
The vicarage is a detached property with five bedrooms and substantial garden.   Built in 1972.  It is about five minutes walk from the church.

The Need

The PCC seeks “a person of energy and enthusiasm combined with a caring attitude, patience and empathy.    Members hope for someone with sound skills of communication who can carry the parish forward and find ways of harnessing the untapped resources which undoubtedly exist within the parish.    There is a need to raise the general profile of the Church”.

St. Albans      Benefice of St Andrew, Much Hadham,  St Thomas, Perry Green  -Priest-in-Charge/Team Rector Designate

Local Ecumenical Partnership: shared with the Roman Catholic Church

Pop: 250                      ER: 181                        Patron: The Bishop of London (suspended)

The Benefice is suspended pending pastoral reorganisation involving the development of a rural team ministry which will include rural parishes in the valley of the River Ash.  Initially, the staffing will be one Team Rector (to live in Much Hadham) and one Team Vicar.  Eventually, the team will grow to one or possibly two other Team vicars as other parishes become part of the team ministry.

Much Hadham is a village of outstanding beauty five miles from Bishop's Stortford, ten miles from Stanstead Airport and thirty miles from Cambridge.  Trains to Liverpool Street operate from Bishop's Stortford and Harlow and there is good access into London.

Three-quarters of the population live in owner occupied accommodation and 15% in housing association, private and local authority rented accommodation.  There are some 75 units of sheltered accommodation.  The community comprises a significant number of young families and many people commute to London for work.

St Andrew's Church of England Voluntary Aided primary and nursery school (c225 on roll) serves Much Hadham and the neighbouring villages and hamlets.  There are strong links with the church and wider community.  The clergy have a keen involvement in the life of the school and there are regular weekly visits for assemblies etc.

St Andrew's Church is shared with the Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church.  A 'joint council' meets three times a year.  Expenses of the fabric are shared 60/40 and running costs 50/50.  The church is a magnificent building in a good state of repair.  There is also a chapel of ease at St Thomas, Perry Green.  The principal Sunday service is Parish Communion at 9.15am (CW, order 1) other services include Parish Praise.  BCP Matins (sometimes lay led) is offered at Perry Green at 11.15am on 2nd, 4th and 5th Sundays.  BCP Holy Communion is administered at 8.00am at St Andrew's on 1st Sunday and at St Thomas on 3rd Sunday.  Lay people take a full part in the liturgy.  The tradition of the church is moderate catholic; vestments are worn and the sacrament is reserved.  The LEP also affords opportunities for occasional shared worship and events such as an annual retreat.  The Much Hadham Churches Committee organises ecumenical events.

The Rectory is an attractive old, but comfortable and manageable, house in the High Street.  It comprises a study, cloak room, good sized sitting room, reception room, dining room, kitchen, four bedrooms, two bathrooms, integral garage and walled gardens.  Central heating is oil fired.

A Priest-in-Charge/Team Rector designate is sought for this interesting, imaginative and challenging post to develop the Team Ministry, to encourage the development of local ministry, and to lead, and care for, the people.  In return the parish offers its enthusiasm, commitment and support.

Coventry     Warwick Team    -    Team Rector, to also be Vicar of St. Mary’s Warwick

This joint appointment arises from David Brindley’s becoming Dean of Portsmouth.

St. Mary’s

The Collegiate Church of St. Mary is a member of the Greater Churches Group, with a high standard of traditional Anglican worship and a significant daily flow of visitors  - some 50,000 a year.   Its affairs warrant full-time lay administration and it has several paid staff.   It has a strong musical tradition with a full-time Director of Music.   It has a strong civic role  -  the Vicar of St. Mary’s is likely to engage with some of Warwick’s major educational and charitable trusts as trustee or governor or representative of beneficiaries.

Sunday worship is currently spoken 1662 Communion at 8.00, Choral Eucharist (order one, traditional language) at 10.30, and Choral Evensong at 18.30, varied on first Sundays to include a parent-led Family Service at 10.00, Choral Matins at 11.00, and an evening Choral Eucharist.   We are used to, and eager to continue with, critically well-founded preaching.

Since January 2002, St. Mary’s Council has channelled its enabling activities through four outward facing teams (Worship and Music, Visitor and Visitor Events, Ministry, and Fabric) and two behind-the-scenes teams (Finance and Administration, and Child Protection).   Through this framework we see that for visitors we need to strengthen our ability to give pastoral support;  for our worshipping congregations we need to get beyond the annual Lent course to more sustained round-the-year development; and for those who are part of the St. Mary’s community we need to develop systematic pastoral care.

The new Warwick Team

The new Warwick Team will consist of the four Anglican single-church parishes of Warwick  -  St. Mary’s, St. Nicholas’, St. Paul’s, and All Saints’  -  and the Christ Church local ecumenical partnership of Anglicans, Baptists and Methodists.

In the past year, new team clergy, including a Baptist minister, have been appointed to four of the five churches, and have anticipated the work of the new team in their pattern of meeting and their sharing of responsibilities.   Each team carries an extra responsibility for facilitating a specific field of cross-team work, currently the town of Warwick and its institutions;  congregational development; mission; mission in the world of work; and schools, children and young people.

Each of the five churches will have its own PCC or LEP Council and be directly responsible for its own financial affairs.   A Team Council comprising the Team Rector, Team Ministers and two lay representatives for each PCC/LEP will be responsible to churches in the team for cross-team planning and co-ordination.

The Appointment

We see two particular emphases:  the developing of teams, and the complementing of present strengths.

We are looking for someone with demonstrable ability as a team leader, who will be committed to collaborative leadership with:

·   the Team’s clergy

·   the various teams of St. Mary’s Council

·   the paid staff of St. Mary’s.

We are looking for someone who will value

·   the existing strengths of all five churches of the new Warwick Team

·   the musical and worship traditions of St. Mary’s

·   the traditional ministry of St. Mary’s to the town of Warwick.

And who will facilitate the development of:

·   the Team’s ministry to the town of Warwick,

·   co-operation between the five churches,

·   a pastoral ministry to visitors to St. Mary’s,

·   a pastoral and developmental ministry to the people of St. Mary’s.

ARE YOU Godly and prayerful, accessible and approachable, ecumenically motivated, mature and experienced?   CAN YOU motivate and enthuse others, work in an urban priority area, fire others with the love of God as well as make them laugh?

If the answer to the above questions is yes - then the post of Team Rector in the Sutton Team Ministry, St Helens in the Diocese of Liverpool could be just for you!

The Parish of Sutton is made up of three sub-districts, each with its own sense of identity and belonging.  There are three churches, St Nicholas (Electoral Roll 96), All Saints (Electoral Roll 78), St Michael & All angels (Electoral Roll 41), and present clergy include a Team Vicar and Associate Priest.

This is an exciting post offering real opportunities to minister as a member of a lively and committed community who are seeking a Team Leader with good communication skills, as well as someone who will support and further develop the Shared Ministry Team.  Whilst sensitivity to the differing traditions of the Team churches is essential so are fresh ideas and enthusiasm.
