Issue Two.

First went on sale on 27th September 1997 at Griffin Park, Brentford. The Clarets lost 2-1 to a last minute Kevin Rapley strike. The fanzine sold well despite fierce competition from Kicker Conspiracy. This was the issue which the Daily Mail's Richard Bott bought at the subsequent home game against Carlisle. His fabricated quotes and poor journalism is now framed in the Sausage office. The cover was highly controversial but reflected the prevailing mood of the Clarets faithful.

Highlights of the edition:
A lambasting of the puerile and childish goal celebrations which seem de rigueur in English football these days
The Bob Lord's Sausage guide to onion bags - including a justified pop at Jimmy Hill
An anti Waddle editorial and 'Dissenter Writes' column
Is there a future for BFC? Russ Ward examines what BFC need to do to be able to compete in the next century

Best Quote:
"At his home in Yorkshire yesterday, Whiteley released a statement saying, 'It is true that I'm going to Burnley but the rumour about Ms Vorderman is just journalistic hacks talking out of their vowels. They are a consonant threat to my reputation'"
Spoof article about Richard Whiteley becoming BFC's new PR man
