None
of the photographers were hurt during these deadly encounters :)
If
you walk around the Derwent Dams, up by Slippery Stones where the old Packhorse
Bridge has been re-assembled, you may find yourself hassled by this fella...
hungry for your sandwich and persistent. :)

Inquisitive
Horse
Highland
Cattle
I
was on a small local walk around the fields above Tansley when I was followed
and pestered by this horse. I think it was bored. It did make a good picture
though.
These
used to be seen in Scotland - now they are being kept more and more by us "lowlanders".
These are in the fields above Matlock Moor. The pine woods can be seen in the
background.
Territorial
Grouse
Grouse
normally scare the hell out of walkers with their explosive exit from the heather
in front of you with a cah cah cah!.. This one on Derwent Edge was determined
to prevent us passing.
Lizard
Stoat
Saw
this one walking into the White Peak - near Hartington. It ran along the wall.
I whistled and it stopped briefly. Took it on my old digital camera so only
have 1280x960 shots and no 10x zoom :(
Lizards
are common on the moors around the Dark Peak. They are very skittish and I only
caught this one because I was swift. Care not to get its tail (which it will
detach!) we managed to get a few pictures.
