Peak District National Park Dark Peak
3D Viewpoints

Red Spots are VIEWS : "W" Symbols are Walks

This is the Edale and Kinder Scout Area. It is slightly distorted here, but you can see the Kinder plateau and the Edale Horseshoe. Click on the red areas to see views and walks from that point.

The view here is oblique into the Edale Horseshoe as though the viewer were hovering over the A57 (Snake Pass) at a height of about 5,500ft. Kinder Scout plateau is very obviously a plateau in the middle-right. The Kinder Downfall waterfall is in the crook at the right hand edge of the plateau. Far middle-left is Lose Hill whihc marks the start of the Edale Horseshoe ridge walk - the best ridgewalk in the Peak District. It's not the lakes - but it makes for an excellent walk - choose a crisp winters' day with a few inches of frozen snow and blue skies for the best experience. Edale village nestles slightrly out of sight in the valey, flanked on the right by Grindslow Knoll.
