Peak District National Park
Dark Peak 3D Viewpoints: Ladybower

Red Spots are VIEWS : "W" Symbols are Walks

This is the lower end of the Upper Derwent Valley. Ladybower and Derwent Dams

The view here is oblique looking into the lower end of the Upper Derwent Valley as though the viewer were hovering over the high moors at the top of the high moors at a height of about 5,500ft. At the top left of this view is Win Hill. At its' foot is the Ladybower Reservoir and the viaduct spanning the submerged village of Ashopton. Working up the dam complex, the visitor's centre is about mid-way in this view. On the right of that, the Alport ridge and valley: on the left, the Derwent edge with Lost Lad visible (bottom left). The Howden dam is in this view: middle-bottom.
