1.3.4 Carl Wilhelm (Charles William) Bauhahn [Bauhan], c.4 February 1861-3 July 1938 in Falls Village, Connecticut. Born in Vestervik, Sweden, and brought to the USA at age six years. He became a lithographer and artist, and is so listed in the NYC Directory in 1893 at 9 Morton Street. He later moved to Jersey City, and then to East Orange, New Jersey, and Falls Village, Connecticut. He and his elder brother Louis married two sisters. Charles married on 1 November 1890 at the Swedish Lutheran Church, Brooklyn, New York, Agda Anna Maria Schyller (6 February 1861-16 July 1934 at Falls Village, Connecticut). He studied at the National Academy of Design, the Art Students League, and Cooper Institute. He retired as a lithographer in 1915 to devote himself to landscape painting. During the time he lived in Jersey City (nearly 25 years) he was Secretary-Treasurer of the Hudson City Improvement Association.

1.3.4.2 Edwin Thor Bauhan, c.28 May 1896-3 July 1953 in St. Petersburg, Florida. Attended Mercersburg Academy and served in the 45th Inf. Div. in World War I (1917-1918). He was an insurance investigator. He never married. Registered at http://www.ellisisland.org as resident (U.S. citizen) in Jersey City, NJ, USA. returning to the U.S.A. on 7 March 1916 at the age of 19 years from Hamilton, Bermuda (on the Bermudian).
1.3.4.3 Alice Marie Bauhan, c.10 November 1902-19 July 1962 in East Orange, New Jersey. Landscape architect, graduate of Cornell University 1926. Site planner for the Department of Parks, New York City, and one of the designers of Jones Beach, Grand Central Parkway, Belmont Lake and other projects. She lived in New York. Never married. Had access to an old family Bible (printed in Leipzig 1815, reprinted Stockholm 1836 showing the family of Louis Sr.).
