1.3.2 Johann Heindrick Ludwig (Louis Jr) Bauhahn , c.23 September 1854-27 January 1941 He was born at Västervik, Sweden and came to the USA in 1867. He became an engraver at first, and is so listed in the NYC Directory of 1878. In New York City Directory of 1890 John H. Bauhahn, artist, listed at 175 E. 96th. He later became an illustrator and artist; member of the American Watercolor Society/National Academy of Design. Illustrator New York World; Art Editor of New York World and Cosmopolitan Magazine. He married Nanny Henrietta Alexandra Schyller (pronounced Nonnie Shiller) 1 December 1888 (c.4 September 1862-19 June 1959). Louis Bauhahn Jr. and his brother Charles married the two Schyller sisters, Nanny Henrietta and Agda, the two families were very close. Their children, hence, were double first cousins. Changed name to Bauhan around 1914 due to antigerman bias surrounding World War I). One of Louis Bauhahn's closest friends in the 1880's, when they were both young artists, was William L. 1.3.2.1 Alexander Emanuel Bauhan, c.23 Nov 1889-1981. Married to Margaret Elizabeth Weedon (c.9 June 1895-May 1978; SSN: 145-32-2787; Died in Maplewood, Essex, New Jersey), 2 February, 1918. He graduated from Stevens Institute of Technology, Hoboken, New Jersey in 1912.

1.3.2.2 Linnea Henrietta Bauhan, c.22 January 1893-22 November 1963. Last residence: New Jersey, U.S.A. SSN: 057-07-1660. She graduated from Barnard College, N.Y.; and worked for A.T.&T. Never married.

1.3.2.3 George Louis Theodore Bauhan, c.18 April 1896-April 1972. Married Mary Elizabeth Bower c.23 October 1903-.

1.3.2.4 Oscar Bauhan, c. 14 November 1897-March 1973. Last residence in Lakeville, Litchfield, Connecticut. SSN: 041-58-3595. Married Alice Fleming Karr c.4 July 1899-.
