| My first visit to Smallmead. Meeting was blighted by the terrible injury to Dave Mullet. Hit the fence and flew off his bike into the brick wall outside the dog track sustaining bad leg injuries. | ||

| First time to Oxford. Not impressed and at the time of writing (24/6/00) have never been back. Had to park in a dodgy looking area and couldn't hear the tannoy. No seats either. | ||

| Abandoned after 8 heats. | ||

| I enjoy 4TT and its a shame they have been scrapped for 2000. Per Wester made his debut. | ||

| My first ever visit to Arena. Track not good for passing but I can think of worse places to spend a Friday night. | ||

| Per Wester was again impressive. 13 from 5 rides. | ||

| Marc Norris scored 8+1 from 5 rides. | ||

| Soooo Close. Exciting 8-1 GD in heat 9. | ||

| Another new track. Sat in the stand at fist and couldn't see half of the track. Would have rather been at Smallmead but I was working in the area. | ||

| Another new track ! No bloody seats but good track. | ||
| 13th | Arena Essex Hammers Vs Reading Racers (PL) | 48 - 42 |
| A magnificent 16 from 6 rides by Flying Finn Petri Kokko kept the score respectable for the Racers. | ||
| 15th | WTC Semi Final at Poole - England/Denmark/Germany/Hungary | 53/45/30/16 |
| First visit to the brilliant Poole track. Good win for England. | ||

| Can't remember much about this meeting. | ||
| 23rd | Reading Racers Vs Swindon Robins (PL) | 45 - 47 |
| Should have got a draw here. It was 40 - 44 going into Heat 15. A Swindon rider (Masters) looped a bit at the gate which left Kokko and Morris to race away into a 5-1 but Seemond Stephens slid off and laid on the track. The ref had to stop the race and order a re-run with Stephens excluded. Needless to say Masters split the Reading pairing to give Swindon an undeserved win. | ||

| First visit to Alwalton. Great atmosphere. sat in the stand amongst the crazy female Sheffield fans. Lots of screaming that almost deafened me ! Have to admit that I was glad that Newport didn't win it. | ||

| Crayford Kestrals body colours made an appearence in the second half junior match. | ||

| Some great racing even though we got beat. Phil Morris got a 5 ride maximum. | ||

| The Comets were just too strong. | ||

| Third home defeat by this score on the trot. | ||
| 20th | Reading Racers Vs Edinburgh Monarchs (PL) | 51 - 39 |
| We win our last home meeting of the season and its against the league champions ! | ||
| 24th | Arena Essex Hammers Vs Edinburgh Monarchs (KOC Final) | 49 - 41 |
| Best match I've seen at Arena. Hammers fail to pull back the deficit to give the Monarchs the trophy. |
