Son of John Riddiough Balshaw and Mary. Altrincham 8a 182, Mar qtr 1879.

Educated at King William's College, Isle of Man.

Occupation.

Railway clerk in 1903 (from John Riddiough Balshaw's admon), remaining working for the LMS railway until retirement.

Married.

Jessie Walker in Goole, 3rd qtr. 1913.

Children: Norman Riddiough Balshaw , (Signalman 2592591, 6th Armd. Div. Sigs., Royal Corps of Signals, who died near Florence, Italy, on Sunday 29th October, 1944, aged 30 from the web site for the Commonwealth War Graves Commission); Mollie (married and lived in Cheltenham).

Home: Somerville, Barrington Road, Altrincham, opposite the end of Woodlands Road.
