He was a regular in the RAF, eventually becoming a Warrant
Officer, retiring about 1958. It is thought that he joined the RAF at a very
early age.

He married Lilian (note spelling) Foster about 1936. Had daughter, Barbara, born 2 March 1937 and son, Victor, born 9 October 1944.
