Born.

July 1748 in Ennerdale, Cumberland,  son of Clement Moscrop and Jane (nee Sharp, 1717-1805).  Baptised 29th July 1748 in Ennerdale.

Married.

3rd March 1772 to Frances Suddard or Southward, (born about 1754, died 28th May 1816 and buried in St Bridget's, Beckermet).

10 Children:  Mary born September 1772, baptised 13/9/1772 in Wilton, Haile, Cumberland, buried 2/4/1794 at St Bridget's Beckermet; Jane born about 1777, married John Dixon 26/12/1797 at Ponsonby; Clement baptised 26/12/1777, died 20/9/1792 at Church House Farm, Ponsonby; Fanny (or Frances) born 1/12/1779, baptised 28/12/1779, married John Lindow 2/1/1799 in Ponsonby; John born 29/12/1781, baptised 27/1/1782, married Ann Wilson 8/2/1812, died 8/4/1841, buried in Ponsonby; Eleanor born about 1783; Elizabeth (Nellie) born 2/2/1784, married Thomas Banks 14/4/1800; William born 14/9/1788, married Frances Bragg 3/4/1826, died 28/3/1869 in New Mill, Ponsonby; Isaac born 19/1/1790, died 25/2/1790 in Church House, Ponsonby; Thomas born 7/7/1792.

Notes

Will proven in February 1810.  Frances his wife left the estate unadministered.  Their son John then took over administration.  Further research required in family connection required as the match is by MI birth date only.
