The Vipers' Parliament
of 1096 AF.

The Vipers Parliament was held at King Gustav's palace in Teutonia. It was mainly the delayed celebration for the naming of the Royal Heir who been born to Queen Bronwyn the previous Autumn. The celebration was meant to be held shortly after the birth but with the early onset of winter it was decided to delay the festival until the weather abated in the spring. This also allowed the royal palace to be repaired somewhat following extensive damage sustained in the war with the Cobras for the control of Teutonia.
The Friday evening was taken up with socialising between the guests. The guests included Masters Indigo and Black, Attila the Nun and the De'Lacy family. Those from the Vipers included Tribe, Obolox, Melnibonians, Rancid Tusks and the Lobotomy goblins although there was some concern about the Lobotomy's as they failed to arrive when expected and did not arrive until some hours later due to the roads being in poor condition after the winter months after the years of war in Teutonia.
The Saturday was taken up with the ceremony for the Christening of Prince Wilheim, crown prince of Teutonia. Many people presented Gifts to the royal heir but the ceremony was interrupted before its conclusion by the attack of a drow assassin upon the ceremony. Further events revealed that there were more drow within the disused labyrinthine tunnels within the palace and attempts to hunt them down were hindered by the building work and secret tunnels making it seemingly impossible to catch them. It was the discovered that a gift presented to the Prince by a drow just before the attacks started was in fact acting a gate bringing more and more drow into the palace. Once the item was destroyed the final few drow were quickly hunted down and the attacks ceased. Where these drow originated from no-one knows but they were not from one of the recognised houses who attend The Gathering each year.
King Gustav then hosted a closed council open only to his people to discuss his factions position on The Gathering of 1096. In the council all his people who wished to speak were given the chance. I don't know what was said there but the King emerged announcing that the Vipers would be attending The Gathering of 1096.
One other urgent matter required attention and that was a rumoured attempt to raise Kruger the Barrow Wight, former leader of the Cobras. A mission was dispatched and after much hardship we discovered an underground complex, once there we entered and finally discovered a chamber with a demonic creature attempting to contact Kruger. The creature was destroyed and yet another scheme to resurrect the barrow wight Kruger and the Cobras was ended.
Other occurrences included Galan De'Lacy trying out some new potions. One of these was a love potion which Lady Celyn gave Lord Wraith whilst ensuring he would see Attila the Nun when it took effect.
I stayed at the royal palace in Teutonia for some days after the christening before returning to Caledonia.
