By Sir Connall of HBS.
Duchess Ailish O'Donovon, Earl Tarragon, Sir Connall, Alexander of Caledonia and Iggy of the Bacchus Bastards were amongst the guests of the Dragons. Their hospitality is renowned in the known world.
Lord General Fig of Erin pledged his support to Lord Magician Arcane of Cymrja in fighting against Lady Katrina and the evil horde of Lord Sat'un.
The unpopular Caradog of Southern Cymrja stood forth, "The Wolves have launched a fleet to rescue Lady Katrina from Lord Sat'un. They claim as she was on Wolves land that it was their responsibility for her abduction. We will not accept their assistance. The Dragons have also sent a rescue fleet as we claim the right to bring her to book." [Interesting things are happening in Orkneyjar with three fleets and four armies.] He continued, "I denounce Lord Chancellor Marot Stormcrow for attempting to assassinate Lady Katrina before she became under the control of Lord Sat'un. He also signed in concert with Corvus the warrant calling for the assassination of 'Prince' Anree and the instigator of the kidnap attempt upon Lady Ailish O'Donovon."
At this Marot launched himself at Caradog and they fought with knives until they were restrained with a number of sleep spells. Once decorum was returned again, Caradog addressed the meeting, "I have evidence for all my statements but I do not feel that it the time or the place to present it at present."
Marot shouted back at him, "You liar, Caradog."
Baron Silkin ap Palarran was charged to investigate the allegations. Earl Tarragon accepted the offer to observe the enquiry on behalf of the Harts.
Llewelyn of the Southern Reaches stated, "Unliving army have marched from Cornwall [probably through the passes just south of Gloucester] into Southern Cymrja and covered 80 miles in a night. These are thought to be spectral creatures. My territories poor light troops were unable to contain them. My villages and towns were only recently rebuilt after they were devastated by Lord Corvus. I ask for assistance from the Harts."
Lady Ailish reticently replied, "I am only an observer and I need to consult Lady Karlennon." Sir Connall promised as much assistance as his meagre resources could provide.
Lord Duggan refused to become Admiral of the all the Dragon Fleets. He took instead a Captaincy in the Navy to lead the Naval assets to reek revenge on the Estragales coast. Captain Duggan and Lord Shrub were ordered to attack Port Dourak and Brentsworth on the coast of Estragales to burn as many ships and galleys they could find that had so plague their coasts. They were given sanction to kill any soldiers or sailors they came across but not to harm any of the women or children.
Lord Brexx was therefore promoted to Admiral of all of the Dragon Fleets.
Baron Belrat, the Warden of the Northern Reaches, accused Lord Arcane of causing so much mischief in his region by messing with magic. He declared Mage War against Lord Arcane. Some time seemed to have disappeared.
Then, there appeared before them a member of Lios Alfar. He told all those present, "We [Lios Alfar] were charged to find the ancient sacred swords of the Kings of Cymrja. This alas we were not able to find but we have found the Crown of the King of Cymrja. Only the he who is the true leader of Cymrja can wear this." At this he placed the crown upon the head of Lord Arcane. He was proclaimed by all those present.
Lord Magician Arcane was accused of having a ring that had brought upon his lands the evil of the Unliving. Lord Schadel came forward and informed everybody that it was not magical and so was not the cause for Unliving.
Caradog was struck down in convulsions and foaming at the mouth. At the Gathering this year, Floris Brand imbued him with some of his life essence to bring him back from the lands of the dead. This had happened a number of times since then.
The Harts were thanked for all the cake. All of the Dragons ate their full.
During the weekend, there was an attack of Unliving during a singing contest. Lord Fig led the Dragons chanting at the top of his voice into the midst of the Unliving followed by Baron Lachlan strumming his guitar.
A number of interesting people were present. The brother of Kusack, called Malaki of Londinium, made many rude comments towards Lady Karlennon. Earl Tarragon and Baron Lachlan were only barely restrained from removing his troublesome mouth from his shoulders. Much amusement was had instead of him by the Harts.
