This pattern is very simple indeed.

To make up the smock proceed as follows:-

1. Hem around neck slit and opening.
2. Sew the gores to the body (stitching the long edge to the body of the smock).
3. Stitch the gussets to one edge of the sleeve.
4. Stitch the underarm seam incorporating the gusset.
5. Sew up the side seams leaving enough room to fit the arms in.
6. Stitch sleeves to body.
7. Hem the bottom edge and wrists.
