1. Cut out the pieces of the pattern as shown above.
2. Sew the two short ends of the band together with a 1 cm seam allowance (right sides together to form a loop.
3. Pin the circle and loop right side together and sew leaving approximately 1 cm seam allowance.
4. Turn the cap right side out and turn up a small hem on the bottom edge.

You can decorate the band with braid or anything else which takes your fancy. (It is easiest to do this by attaching the braid to the band before sewing it into a hoop.)
