This mountain chalet style house is set in a quiet, picturesque village with its own shop open early and late and an excellent restaurant. One of the main local towns, Bagneres de Bigorre, is five minutes away.
Bagneres has shops of all types, supermarkets, restaurants, bars etc., a Saturday market and a new thermal spa Aquensis -- open to all and well worth a visit for a special treat.
Gerde is just off the main road, only half an hour to La Mongie and the ski slopes or the mountains in summer. The Biarritz/Toulouse motorway exit is at Tarbes
The Accommodation
There are two double bedrooms and a bathroom on the first floor, and on the second floor, a very spacious attic bedroom with four single beds.
There are wall-mounted electric convector heaters in every room.
Beds have pillows, duvets and blankets, but linen is not provided. You will also need to bring towels and teatowels.
On the ground floor the house has a large living room with open fire and furnished with sofas and a dining table. Off this room is a kitchen with washing machine and fridge, and also a shower room.

6 Rue De L'Estantere
Each of the three bedrooms has a balcony with this superb panorama of the High Pyrenees.
Parking is in the square adjacent to the courtyard leading to the house. There is a shaded deck area, garden table and chairs and barbecue.
The entrance to the house is in a small courtyard. There is a terrace off the living room with a magnificent southerly view of the mountains (below).
