What with my family committments I've only been to half a dozen gigs this year but Muse at Wembley Arena last Wednedsay was an intergalactic experience. Unfortunately I've since got a nasty gastric bug and been consigned to the throne for over 72 hours now, hence had to miss Headcount at The Dublin Castle, Camden (Sunday) amongst other things. Not very pleasant at all.

That new book "The Story of CRASS" is a jolly good read !!!

It's Bank Holiday Monday and an enjoyable few hours were spent on a long overdue visit to the RAF Museum in Hendon - all FREE of charge too - Henry points the way towards the Bomber Hall then Daisy and Henry take control of a Jet Provost T3A. Tally ho ...

"The Lost Playground" a 7pm to 7am event scheduled for Saturday 23rd September 2006, and featuring Killing Joke amongst a host of other bands, appears to have been cancelled. Check the MySpace entry for further updates. Meanwhile some extremely sad news to end the week as legendary Chelsea FC statistician and loyal supporter Ron Hockings has lost his battle with cancer, aged 72. Rest in peace.

A rather eventful "Blue Day Out" at Stamford Bridge today - Daisy and Henry take their place in the world's biggest team photo.

Direct from (cheeky) Monkey World in darkest Dorset, Henry cries "Don't take my biscuit" !!!

Alright you lags !!! A minor reunion of the "Kalamata 14" at RAF Fairford today.
Nice to see a Hellenic AF presence in more ways than one !!!

It may be the FIFA World Cup Final this evening but Henry and myself spent a fine morning watching some arrivals near the runway 27L threshold at London Heathrow. Go on my son.

Another major tournament, another England penalty shootout disaster ... doh.

Updated : 10th June 2006
The day has arrived - the 2006 FIFA World Cup has begun and England expects. Little Henry Roman expects too.

Quite an action packed 24 hours or so - firstly agonising viewing of the UEFA Champions League final albeit with a fantastic ending to lift the spirits of Chelsea fans everywhere after having to contemplate the unthinkable for almost an hour - phew - then the momentous arrival of the Airbus A380 at London Heathrow followed by Thursday evening's sold out Radiohead gig at the Hammersmith Apollo.

A rather tame end to an otherwise glorious Premiership campaign coupled with a sadly low key promotion of Hosannas - only Camden KOKO and the Cambridge Junction attended by myself - thoughts now turn to the FIFA 2006 World Cup starting in a month's time.

Updated : 29th April 2006
That's the way to do it - Chelsea 3 Man United 0 - Chelsea FC champions, again ...

Updated : 23rd April 2006
No double this time around ... a tactical disaster at Old Trafford not helped by some iffy decisions.

"Good Friday" indeed !!! A massive weekend it was - United stumble and Chelsea march on relentlessly with victory over Bolton and Everton - they think it's all over ... well it almost is ... and to top it all off, a live feed of Sunday's Killing Joke gig from the Amsterdam Paradiso courtesy of those crazy guys at FabChannel.Com.

A goal down & a man down - yet Chelsea 4 West Ham 1 - that's the spirit !!!

Much can happen in a month !!! To all and sundry it would appear that Killing Joke and Chelsea FC are imploding in equal measures, or are they ?!? Cue much gnashing of teeth and recriminations, in website forums at least ! Last night should have been the opening night of the KJ tour (as well as my mum and late father's 50th anniversary) but with Raven sadly departed from KJ (if only for the forseeable future) the UK dates have been put back a month or so. Despite the current bass player crisis, new album Hosannas From The Basements of Hell is out today and sees Killing Joke in fine fettle. Meanwhile the media knives are out for Jose & the boys as an enormous lead appears to be readily evaporating as we approach the final strait. Hold your nerve Chelsea FC and make history.

... and the tension builds. Whilst some Chelsea "fans" sadly choose to jeer today's 'man of the match' Didier Drogba for his somewhat infuriating theatrics during the vital 2-0 win, Daisy finally gets to meet Stamford The Lion at the Premiership match versus Manchester City ... meanwhile, back at home, young Henry Roman gets into the spirit !

No doubt about it, Peter Osgood was THE king of Stamford Bridge, a real Chelsea Football Club legend. Ossie sadly passed away suddenly earlier today at the age of 59. No more fitting a Chelsea tribute could there have been than the display by Joe Cole during England's 2-1 victory over Uruguay tonight ... I sense the remainder of this season will be a very emotional time at Stamford Bridge.
Ossie RIP.

Middlesborough 3 Chelsea 0 ... quite a caning that was ... just like the bad old days ... how will the boys react from that ? There is an official (and better quality) download of Implosion available at the KJ website. Click here to register & roll on the April UK tour !

Tonight certainly is nostalgia time as the reformed Bauhaus play the Brixton Academy ... as with their 1998 Brixton gig (where they played magnificently and thankfully looked rather dignified) that is okay by me as I only saw them once (at the Lyceum 1982) during their original incarnation, yet endlessly played their In The Flat Field and Mask albums in my little box room. Meanwhile tickets went on sale this morning for Killing Joke's gig at the Camden KOKO venue on 5th April 2006 ... sing hosannas or what !?!

Henry Roman, six months old today, full of spirit and happy as ever. A right cheeky chappie.

Completely out of the blue a link arrives with leaked MP3's from the imminent Hosannas From The Basement Of Hell album ... this is really going to blow people away ... 2003's effort may have won an army of new followers but this album is even better ... it has more of a "living" band feel than any recording since Extremities (1990) with elements of Democracy and 2003's album in there too ... those songs standing out a bit above the others arrive in a glorious quartet Implosion/Majestic/Walking With Gods/Lightbringer all of which feature mighty riffs and a 'classic' KJ feel ... quite frankly, they are all immense songs. Whilst the recent CD/DVD release "XXV Gathering" dug deep into the rich Killing Joke back catalogue, any remaining thoughts of nostalgia can well and truly be put to rest.

"IF YOU DON'T KNOW THE GAME, THEN YOU'RE STILL PART OF IT"

"I WONDER WHO CHOSE THE COLOUR SCHEME, IT'S VERY NICE"

Better known as a long time fanatical follower of both Killing Joke (the highly influencial & legendary post-punk experimental rock band) and Chelsea Football Club (thanks Fuzz), I have now become somewhat infamous for being a victim of rough justice. Thankfully, with this bitter experience behind me, now I can just get on with my life and enjoy spending time with my friends and family, namely my dear mum, my sisters Maria and Anna, my daughter Danielle, my fiancee Dawn, our son Henry Roman and young Daisy.
