Back on the 20th October 1977 my old mucker Charlie Gardner (left) and myself (right) were allowed to go on board a Boeing 747 at the Air India Cargo area at London Heathrow - it was arranged by a friend of Charlie's father. As you can just about see from the plate just to the left of my head, the aircraft in question was VT-EBD (aka "Emperor Ashoka"), a Boeing 747-237B (c/n 19959).
