The Ultra-Early Origins of Yesodic life

Life in our Domain could not start until atoms heavier than helium were synthesised in stars. This took billions of years. But in the Yesodic Domain there is no analog of atomic nuclei, and life was able to evolve as soon as the temperature fell low enough. Amazingly, Yesodic life appears to date from the chaos of the very early Universe, even before large solid bodies condensed.

DOMAIN CONTACT IN THE EARLY HISTORY OF THE UNIVERSE

Our Universe stared as a random quantum fluctuation and underwent an early episode of inflation which increased its size by approx 1020 and constrained it to an ultra-flat geometry. Following the era of inflation, the universe expanded and cooled adiabatically.

When the Universe was extremely hot, all particles were essentially the same, and all interactions were of the same strength. As the Universe cooled the successive interactions "froze out", and the various mixing angles which define the coupling constants of the fundamental forces were fixed.

This early near-identity affects not only Briahtic particles, but particles in the other Domains as well. At this time there was no difference between the Domains and no distinction between the Domains. The loss of contact beween the Domains must have taken place some time after the Planck era, as the temperature fell below the mass of the (hypothetical) particles that mediate cross-Domain contact. (it is generally considered that the lightest of these has a mass of around 106ev. The rare case of weak photon-mediated electromagnetic interaction between Briah and Yesod is an exception to this.)

Since the Domains were in close contact in the early Universe, matter and energy would have been in equiparition between them. It is therefore fairly safe to assume that, in the Universe as a whole, there is an approximately equal amount of mass/energy in each Domain

SUBSEQUENT DEVELOPMENT OF THE BRIAHTIC AND YESODIC DOMAINS

In the Briahtic Domain, matter built itself into larger and larger units: first nucleons, then neutrons and protons, and finally into atoms. By the end of the Radiation era the Briahtic Domain was full of a dilute gas of hydrogen and helium.

There followed a long period of star formation, which is still proceeding.

Heavier atoms, necessary for life, could only be generated in the interior of stars. This was a process that took billions of years.

First Briahtic Life

Briah is largely a lifeless Domain. Briahtic life could not form until heavy nuclei had been synthesised in Population II stars. The Earth represents one of the earliest examples of Briahtic life.

In Yesod, life appears to have started much earlier

First cross-Domain contact

In the Yesodic domian, macroscopic structures are built up by direct combination of fundamental particles. There are no analogs of nucleons or nuclei: none of the forces saturate.

Yesodic life appears to thrive over a wide range of temperature, at least between 200K and 1000K. There was a period of nearly 100 millon years when the background temperature of the whole Universe traversed this range. Yesodic life does not require any analog of atoms: so it evolved immediately, in the primordinal gas clouds.

There was a vast amount of early Yesodic life; about as much in the whole Yesodic Domain, proportionally, as here is in an Earthly ocean today. And much of it was intelligent. There are hints that it undertook the re-arrangement of stellar quantities of matter for unknown reasons, (perhaps to create black holes to use as an energy source?)

However, Yesodic Physics does not allow any analog of nuclear reactions - radioactivity, fission, or fusion. Stars and suns could not form in Yesod.

Therefore, as the Yesodic Domain cooled and became more lifeless, the mighty works of the ancient Yesodc races crumbled. Life became confined to the interors of fluid bodies that were inexorably freezing.

CROSS-DOMAIN CONTACT

At some point, far in the past, cross-Domain contact between Yesod and Briah was established. This may be a natural phenomenon or may be (hard as it is to believe) the result of an intelligent manipulation of natural laws by the Darks.

Cross-Domain contact allowed the Darks to heat their fluid planets. Darks migrated to accumulations of Yesodic matter that had been drawn into the gravity wells of Briahtic planets, "seeded" the cores with the rare Yesodic particles that interacted with Briahic matter, and used the heat tapped from the Briahtic radioactivity to keep their environments fluid. The metabolism of the Darks' bodies throve on temperature differences. Briathic contact was even used as an aid to movement.

This was the state far in the past - about thirteen billion years ago. Since then, we may be confident, the Darks have continued to exploit cross-Domain interactions.

It is impossible to follow the full implications of this in one article. Transmission XVIII enigmatically hints of three other Domains the Yesodic Darks have contacted, and also describes entities which seem (if translation is correct) to have evolved by symbioic interaction between parent races in different Domains! Since this part of the Transmissions is not mathematical, it remains subject to intense debate: but it may be that our whole Domain is set to join a community of intelligence of a range and scope we simply cannot imagine today.
