A good example of a rather interesting and subtle style of Asante weaving where patterns are created through weft striping which appear muted by the predominance of the warp threads on the cloth surface. As if usually the case with this technique there are slight variations in the patterns and colours of the weft striping at irregular intervals. In excellent condition, dates from circa 1950s-60s.
