Fine example of a Dioula woman's ceremonial wrapper cloth from Kong or neighbouring towns of north Ivory Coast and southern Burkina Faso. Finely woven examples of typical Dioula supplementary weft float motifs on hand spun cotton indigo dyed strips alternate with a plainer check hand spun strip.  In excellent condition, date mid C20th.
