Unusual Baule man's cloth with an extensive range of varied weft float motifs of the type that Baule and Gouro weavers learnt from the Dioula. The alignment of designs in rows across the strip is atypical of Baule pattern layout. The ground material on this cloth is woven from imported thread rather han local. In good condition, dates from mid-C20th.
