The designs embroidered on this beautiful cloth include an elephant with palm tree, crown, cocoa tree, a lion, a royal stool, and peacock. All are motifs alluding to proverbs and ideas about Asante power and chiefly regalia. The cloth is in excellent condition, and probably dates to around the 1950s-60s.
