Superb version of the classic adire eleko design known as "Olokun" or "sea goddess". The general connotation of this cloth design was of wealth and good fortune, making it one of the most prized adire styles.  This cloth has a crackled effect caused by faulty preparation of the starch resist whi8ch is technically a mistake but has left a visually pleasing result. Dates to around the 1960s and is in excellent condition.
